3-days tour Marrakech

Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Ben haddou – Dadèskloof

On the first day of  our 3- days tour we drive from Marrakech to the Dadèsgorge.

The route winds through beautiful scenery and Berber villages via the Tizi-’n-Tichka pass over the High Atlas Mountains. It is the highest road in Morocco, of which the pass is the highest point, 2260 m high.

We stop to visit the famous Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. This is the largest Kasbah in Morocco and is included in the Unesco world heritage list.
It is still the home of many Glauoi relatives. You have the possibility for a lunch in the Kasbah after wich we continue our trip towards de Dadèsgorge.
We drive via Ouarzazate, ‘the Hollywood of Africa’ following the ‘road of the thousand Kasbahs’ and pass Kalaat M’Gouna. Also called the ‘city of roses’. becasuse it is known by its many rose nurseries and the annual festival during the rose harvest in May.

Eventually, we will arrive at our hotel/riad in the heart of the Dadèsgorge. Overnight and diner in the hotel/riad

Day 2: Dadèsgorge – Todragorge – Merzouga

After breakfast at the hotel, we drive back through the valley to the amazing rock formation the ‘Monkey Toes’ and the remaining 19th-century Kasbah of Ait Yul. As we leave the valley towards Tinghir and the Todra valley we see panoramic views of old Berber villages, wich overlook the valley. Arriving at the Todra gorge you walk under the 300 meter high red rock, where any rock climbers come to practice their favourite sport.

We will continue our route direction Erfoud and drive through the desert until we stop at the edges of the golden sanddunes. There your camel awaits you for the desert camel ride through the mysterious sea of sand of the Erg Chebbi dunes. Of course, you are in all this accompanied by an experienced camel guide.

Finally, you will spend the night under a wonderful starry sky in a luxury tent with good beds, toilet and shower.After the dromedary tour,  you will be taken by 4 x 4 to our ten tcamp in the middle of the Saharadesert. Here you will be welcomed with a glass of real Moroccan mint tea. In the evening you enjoy a nice dinner and you listen to traditional Berber music around a campfire. Finally, you will spend the night under an amazing starry sky in a luxury tent with good beds, toilet and shower.

Day 3: Merzouga – Marrakech

After a luxurious breakfast, you will leave by 4×4 back to the beginning of the sand dunes. From where we continue the journey via Ouarzazate towards Marrakech. The ride continues through the High Atlas Mountains, so that we can enjoy the beautiful surroundings at the end. In the afternoon or evening we will reach Marrakech and with that your 3-day tour from Marrakech ends.

During our 3-day tour from Marrakech you will spend the night and dinner in the Date Gorge in a small-scale and good hotel in the middle of the gorge.
On the second day you have the Sahara desert overnight stay in our luxury tented camp Royal Oasis.
