Visit the fascinating waterfalls of Ouzoud

The waterfalls of Ouzoud are the most famous waterfalls of Morocco. Ouzoud is a Moroccan village situated near the falls, this village is named after the waterfalls. The Ouzoud waterfalls consist of a network of small waterfalls crashing from 110 meters high into the depths.

The falls are without doubt one of the biggest and most visited spectacles of Morocco.
The bottom of the falls is accessible through a shaded path of olive trees. Ouzoud is the Berber word for ‘olive’ and refers to the olive trees that grow in the area. At the bottom of the falls a dip can be taken in the fresh water or just bathing the feet.
In the vicinity of Ouzoud you find green valleys, mills and the gorges of the El Abid River ( translated: Slave River ) with canyons of some 600 meters. In the area around the falls also live the Berber monkeys, a kind of tailless monkeys .
