7-days tour Agadir
One of the most beautiful tours in our program is the desert trip from Agadir. You travel 7 days through the most beautiful part of southern Morocco. The beauty of the landscape and the visits that are included in this tour makes this trip an unforgettable travel experience. The tour goes along the coast road with its breathtaking views of deserted beaches and authentic and interesting coastal towns towards the desert.
Day 1: Agadir – Tiznit – Mirfelt
In the morning we depart from Agadir and drive along the coast to visit the beautiful nature of Sous Massa Draa. After lunch we head towards Tiznit. Here we visit the old medina with its ocher-colored walls and continue our route till we arrive in the evening at Mirfelt. This beautiful seaside town has an authentic atmosphere and is still undiscovered by mass tourism. Dinner and overnight stay in a Riad.
Day 2: Mirfelt – Sidi Ifni – Guelmin – Tata
After a traditional breakfast we take the coastal road towards Sidi Ifni. We drive along Laghzira, located between Mirfelt and Sidi Ifni. The long golden sandy beaches of Laghzira are lined with impressive cliffs and covered with majestic arches, carved by the sea in the red rocks. The breathtaking beauty leaves a memorable impresssion. Sidi Ifni, an ancient coastal town is built on a hill and was once a Spanish enclave, the town has many buildings in Art Deco style. Possibillity for lunch and then we leave for Guelmin, nicknamed ‘Gateway to the desert’. This ancient coastal town was in former times an important trading post for the Caravan. Here we visit the ancient and traditional camel market and get acquainted with mlhaf, the typical colorful woven clothing for women of southern Morocco. In the evening we reach Tata, an oasis on the edge of the Sahara. Dinner and overnight stay in a Riad.
Day 3: Tata – Erg Chegaga
After visiting Mousguid, the ancient city of the Bedouins, we continue our journey to the dunes of Lake Iriki and arrive at Erg Chegaga, the big dune in the desert, for a special experience. Dinner and overnight will take place in a nomadcamp in Erg.
Day 4: Erg Chegaga – Zagora
In the morning we start our day with a camel ride through the desert, then we leave for M’hamid where we will have lunch with the residents of the Kasbah. In the evening we arrive in Zagora, where we have dinner and overnight in a traditional Riad.
Day 5: Zagora – Todgha gorge
Departure from Zagora to the Todgha gorge, we will take the road to the Draa Valley. But first we visit the Tamagroute pottery cooperatives and the Qur’anic library. In the afternoon we arrive at the Todgha gorge, where we have dinner and spend the night in an authentic Riad.
Day 6: Todgha gorge – Rose valley – Dadès gorge – Ouarzazate
After the traditional breakfast we visit the Valley of the Roses and the mountains with the characteristic houses inhabited by Berbers. Lunch at the Dadès gorge. We drive through the gorge and in the evening we arrive in Ouarzazate. Here we stay in a Riad for overnight and diner.
Day 7: Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Taourirt – Marrakech/Agadir
The first half of the day will be completed by visiting the historical monuments of the city of Ouarzazate and the ancient Berber Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, wich is included on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The Kasbah, with the architecture and the rhythm of bygone life has kept intact and is worth visiting. After this we will visit another Kasbah, the Kasbah of Taourirt, the old residence of the Glaoui family. In Ouarzazate we will visit the studios. And then….departure to Marrakech, crossing the beautiful mountains and over the Tizi n’Tichka pass (2260 m) or optionally, departure to Agadir via Taznakht where we visit a cooperative of Berber carpets. These carpets are made by the women of the surrounding villages.
