It crosses authentic and interesting towns, like Tiznit and Tafraoute.

Day 1 – Agadir – Tiznit – Ait Mansour – Tafraoute
You will be picked up from your hotel/Riad in Agadir at a time to be announced. Then we leave for the town of Tiznit. It is surrounded by a long city wall with eight gates. The town is traditionally known for its silverware, the craft of silversmithing is still practiced today. We continue through the beautiful valley of Ait Mansour, bare red rocks stand out against green palm trees and the blue sky. Finally we arrive in Tafraoute, a lively town surrounded by jagged granite formations. Overnight stay and dinner in a hotel in the middel of the small centre of the town.
Day 2: Tafraoute – Zagora
After breakfast we start to continue our journey. Today we drive towards Zagora, in the valley of the Draa River. Zagora is a larger town on the edge of the Erg Chigaga, one of the two main dunes in the Moroccan desert. Zagora was once a caravan town from which, as a sign indicates, Timbuktu could be reached in 52 days. Of course by dromedary. Day 3: Zagora – Merzouga
First breakfast and then we will leave and drive on the slopes of the desert.
We drive into the Erg Chebbi desert until we stop at the edge of the golden sand dunes. Here your dromedary is ready for a trip through the Sahara sand sea. Afterwards you will be taken to our luxurious tented camp Royal Oasis. The tents in our camp have good beds, a toilet, shower and sink. After arrival at the tented camp you will be welcomed with a glass of mint tea. Dinner, Berber music and overnight at the Royal Oasis Camp in the Sahara desert.
Day 4: Merzouga – Todra Gorge – Boumalne Dades
After breakfast we say goodbye to the desert and leave for Boumalne Dades. Via Rissani and Tinghir. On the way we visit the Todra Gorge with its high rock formation. In the afternoon we reach our hotel in Boumalne Dades. Overnight and dinner at the hotel in the heart of the Date Gorge.
Day 5: Boumalne Dades – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouzarzazate
First a quiet breakfast in the hotel and then we travel on. The route through the Date Valley towards Ouarzazate is also known as ‘the road of the 1000 kasbahs’. It is a beautiful route and there is plenty of time for photo opportunities. Today you will also meet Berber nomads who live in a cave. We drive through Kalaat M’gouna, the rose city. Here you can buy rose water and rose oil. We drive on to Skoura and visit the beautifully restored Kasbah Ameridil. During the day we arrive in Ouarzazate, the ‘Hollywood of Africa’. Here is also the studio where you can admire props used in well-known films, such as The Mummy, Gladiator and the recent series ‘Game of Thrones’. Dinner and overnight at a riad.
Day 6 : Ouarzazate – Taznakt – Talioune – Taroudant
Today we leave for Taznakt, which used to be an important point for the caravan routes and is the center of tapestry weaving. We drive on to the old Berber town of Taliouine, located in the Anti Atlas Mountains. The town has a rich history and has a beautiful Kasbah, which unfortunately is slowly crumbling. Taliouine is known for the production of saffron. About 7000 pounds of saffron is produced here per year. Finally we reach the town of Taroudant. Overnight on bed and breakfast basis in a nice Riad
Day 7 : Taroudant – Agadir
Have a leisurely breakfast today and then there will be plenty of time to stroll through the town of Taroudant. This charming town is also known as ‘little Marrakech’. It is the oldest royal city with its own authentic character and not known by mass tourism. You imagine yourself back in the Middle Ages, it is an oasis of peace. The town is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. At the end of the afternoon we drive back to Agadir, a drive of about 2 hours. Our 7-day tour from Agadir ends in Agadir. You will be dropped off at an address of your choice in Agadir.
